Activist of the Year

Papantonio and RFK, Jr. interviewed Alexandra Paul on Air America Radio today. I missed the news event from earlier this year, but Ms. Paul performed some major mojo on General Motors. It basically amounted to a two-women blockade trying to prevent GM from destroying a bunch of prototype EV1 electric vehicles.

In the end it didn't quite work out, but for her effort, she got selected "Activist of the Year" by the ACLU.

And she's also got the bicycling mojo working. Not a huge fan of Baywatch, but having followed the Ironman Triathlon on television over the years, I remember and really admire her for finishing that thing. And also for walking across the USA. That, friends, defines credibility: say you can't ride a bike or walk to reduce oil consumption? No sweat, let's get these electric cars going! Like right now!
