A discussion of Peak Oil and how the world is changing as petroleum demand exceeds supply and prices soar. Links to how people can cope and adapt to the peak oil turbulence as we dive into the After the Peak transition. ...the times they are a changin\' There are many excellent Peak Oil blogs out there, and I will not try to replicate them. THIS blog will focus on how things will look & feel in the post peak world. Despite how bleak the scenarios look for the future (James Kunstler and DieOff.com) I believe there will be points of stability and growth like there are in any chaotic system. Frankly I agree with most of the future visi ion described by Kunstler and DieOff because I am an engineer and these scenarios seem the most logical and probable. But I also draw upon a strong spiritual perspective and believe there is some larger lesson being learned by humanity right now that only peak oil can give us. Hold on tight to the lifeboat... it seems the next few decades will be a very wild ride.

WHT, this page is probably going to suffer in rankings (undeservedly) if it looks spammy.  You probably want to delete the spam and add Capcha.

(You're not the only one hit; alt-e got plastered badly.)

I assume that the web ring went away because the guy that runs the Flying Talking Donkey is a bit flighty himself. He seems more enamored with the technology behind the web than the content. Witness how often he changed his blog template.
Oh well, he has every right in the world to do anything he wants. And anybody that depends on somebody else for content gets what they deserve. That's why we have a philosophy called "backups".

And yes, I try to delete the spam by hand. The two above didn't have links so they looked pretty benign.

"Global Oil Production is Peaking and Civilization as we know it today is in big trouble "

It is imminent & guaranteed by the natural laws that govern our physical world, and nothing in science, technology, or engineering can prevent it. The implications of Peak Oil are far reaching that only few understand, with little thinking devoted to the crisis certain to follow.

Currently, most of us are using mobile phones. True to our nature, we have used the different features of these sophisticated gadgets to put a smile on our faces and that of others. We are sending text messages that are really humorous and listening to ring tones that would tickle our funny bones, every time the phone rings.

At present, a multitude of ring tones are easily available and can be downloaded in different models of mobile phone handsets. Mobile phone users can choose from monophonic ring tones, polyphonic ring tones, true tones, real tones, SMS ring tones, buddy name tones, caller id tunes, etc., according to their specific requirements. With the technological advances achieved in this sector, a high degree of customization of ring tones has also become possible. Users of mobile phones can give vent to their creativity and design some witty and humorous ring tones in many of the latest models of handsets. For instance, users are free to use their own voices or any other sound to create a number of personalized ring tones! Depending on their intelligence, wit and comic timing, they would be able to create some hilarious ring tones that are guaranteed to put a smile on the lips of anyone who happens to hear them.
