Johnny Rotten in another few years, played by Harry Shearer, rechristened Lord of Blaby, implicating dear Lady Thatcher for past deeds in promoting the global warming "industry". Stand down, Margaret.
At times the documentary looked like a cross between a Monty Python skit and Shearer's latest "For Your Consideration".

Good for yucks, yes. But it's been a fun few days dealing with the flak over it! :)

It's amazing how many people on the net went "Yay - we can all go back to sleep now and tell that chicken little to give it a rest". It doesn't take much to get the brakes applied to the whole "let's do something" bandwagon. It really is an inconvenient truth.
And, worse - the comments that abounded on the internet, particularly in the UK where it was released on TV, showed there's still a lot of work to be done to give people a sense that 'global warming' is only a symptom of deeper environmental issues. Issues that will still be there, even if, by some stroke of fate and mass scientific turnaround, global warming was officially 'cancelled'. A little education on basic ecological facts wouldn't go amiss me thinks.
